Our History

The School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Valladolid, EII-Uva, has a rich history dating back to its creation in 1913. It was originally established at the Hospederķa del Colegio Santa Cruz, where courses in electrical engineering and graphic arts were taught. Over time, the school became the Industrial School, which came under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Labor, Trade and Industry. In 1929, the school was renamed the Higher School of Labor.

In 2009 the two industrial engineering centers at the University of Valladolid merge together with the Department of Chemical Engineering, giving rise to the School of Industrial Engineering of Valladolid, with the aim of having a single center offering studies in the field of industrial engineering at this University.
